Everyone loves a good game accessory. Some of the games we play have amazing components that really pop on the table, elevating the depth and immersion of that game when you jump in. Other games just seem to be missing that right piece. Today we are going to look at someone trying to help the latter and see if these accessories can really help level up your gaming experience!
Legendary Metal Coins Season 5 is brought to us by Drawlab Entertainment. Drawlab is Evangelos: Boardgame Publisher, Stavros: the Mechanical Engineer, Stelios: the Art Director.
Drawlab has brought us 4 successful Kickstarters in the past for their Legendary Metal Coin series and this is their 5th campaign. They have brought some ideas that they have been toying with along with some fan suggestions to bring some beautiful options to the table.
The campaign offers Standard Sets of 24 coins each (10 copper, 8 silver, 6 gold), Collector Sets of one of each coin that we have made and completely Custom Sets.
The Amerindian set have an awesome Central America theme to them, reminiscent of the Incan, Mayan and Aztec cultures. They have a beautiful finish and really jump out with the detailed drawings and symbology on them. I like that they offer a few different styles and also offer different shapes. The detail on the coins really pop. I would love to use these with a copy of Teotihuacan or Tzolk’in.
The Magician set brings up memories of some of your favorite spells and magical moments in the fantasy world. Each coin depicts symbols and sights that really focus on the world of fantasy. I especially love the connections with storylines such as the Harry Potter saga with images and icons that recall this amazing world. The snake and owl are my favorites of this set and really pop on the table. I can see using these for Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle or for any of a number of games like Mage Wars where wizards and spells abound.
The Werewolf coin set brings you into the world of howling beasts in metal form, giving you coins of various types to showcase this ferocious beast. The coins are circular in size but also have these fun chunks out of them that show off the beastly aspects of this creature. I can see using these in a game like Shadow Hunters or Bloodborne.
These coins are the next in a series of high-quality metal coins that are the gaming accessory that you never knew you needed. Some of the best games out there do not have additional bling already in the box, and standard metal coins may not fit the theme as well as they could. When you add these to your board game, what you find is the theme and designs really make certain titles pop off the table. I am excited to see how some of these will work in the titles mentioned or just as great conversation pieces on display in a game room!
